Where You’ve Got To Go!

Oh, wow!

I just got news that the Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania (CHAP) is offering free tickets to first-time attendees of Parents of Preschoolers. If this describes you, and you can get to Harrisburg on Mother’s Day weekend (May 11-12), do everything you can to make it! If you are even considering homeschooling, this will be a great way to dive right in, surround yourself with resources, and begin to find your footing. (Disclaimer: yes, when you dive right in, you will feel the strange sensation of drowning, but if you keep going long enough, your oxygen tank will kick in and you’ll feel like yourself again in no time. I’m almost certain of that.)

My husband and I make CHAP a standing get-away each year. The speakers are phenomenal and the sessions are so uplifting. I also love moseying through the vendor booths, handling the materials that I’d otherwise only see online, and asking the vendors (and surrounding parents) lots of questions about what works – and what doesn’t. I can’t recommend the conference highly enough! Go! Go! Go!

Wouldn’t that be great to run into each other?! If you see me, I’ll probably look very absorbed (or distracted) (or overwhelmed) (or greedy), but please, please stop me and say hello! It will be healthy for me to break free from my CHAP trance. ;)

Oh, Laura, you’re hilarious. That describes me at convention, too. I so wanted to come to CHAP this year (I hear it’s one of the best conventions!) but we have a wedding to attend. I’m putting it on the calendar for next year! :)

I’m so thrilled that you shared this! It’s right near my in-laws but I didn’t know anything about it. Marking it on the calendar now, and crossing my fingers my husband can get Friday off work! : )
